Military Times did an interesting story revealing more details of the recent Marine evacuation of the Tripoli Embassy.  I found the flying MV-22 Osprey 24 man QRF fascinating.

The evacuation maintained an F16s CAP during the operation.  They flew from Aviano with tanker support out of England.  I can’t help but contrast the use of F16’s in this operation and the widespread rejection of F16’s even doing show of force passes during the Benghazi debacle.

The US Embassy in Tripoli officially remains open.
