A reader shared with me an interesting development in the integration of women into combat positions.  The Times of Israel reports Israel will train women as instructors in the commander position on tank crews.  Israel already uses women as instructors on other tank positions.  The article goes on to report women may find themselves serving in that position in combat should an emergency situation arise.  “These women will, after the eight-month training period, be equipped to serve in a mixed-gender tank, where the driver, loader, and gunner are male.”

This news will be misconstrued by those in the US with an agenda as evidence that women can serve in the same positions here in the States.  They ignore that US tank commanders typically work their way up through the ranks and one should be able to do every subordinates job before commanding them.  Just goes to show we are not the only ones to suffer those with an agenda ignoring the obvious lessons of war and looking for any excuse to further “equality” when it’s not equality they are really looking for.
