The Daily Caller ran an article by Reza Kahlili a name used by a former CIA operative in Iran’s Revolutionary Guard. He cites the second recent comment by an Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander discussing direct threats against the US. The latest culprit Brig. Gen. Hossein Salami, said “We have recognized America’s military strategy, and have arranged our abilities, and have identified centers in America [for attack] that will create a shock.” The cited article contains several other provocative and gloating statements by the IGC general.
Two weeks ago chief commander of the Guards, Maj. Gen. Mohammad Jafari, rebutted Secretary of State John Kerry comment that if Iran did not abide by the recently signed treaty a US military option would be on the table. Jafari said a direct conflict with America is the “strongest dream of the faithful and revolutionary men around the world.”
The most likely sources of terror attacks in the US is from Hezbollah agents that have already infiltrated and are in place in the US. Federal Law enforcement won’t provide an estimate of how many Hezbollah agents are in the US but there have been over 70 businesses identified in money laundering and 20 recent federal investigations on the Hezbollah in the US. This is not as unreal as it sounds considering the 2011 plot by Iranian nationals to assassinate the Saudi Ambassador in a crowded DC restaurant. Mr. Arbabsiar, whose cousin is a high ranking Al Quds Iranian Revolutionary Guards member, was sentenced to 25 years for giving $1.5 million to a Los Zetas cartel member to plant the bomb in the restaurant that would have had 100-150 people present.
These types of comments, incidents and long term history between the two nations tends to be forgotten in the recent overly positive reporting of a nuclear “agreement” between the Iran and the 5+1 powers.
