The current Marine amphibious vehicle the AAVP7, is 40 years old.  The Marines have been looking for a replacement for decades.  Here’s a story of the latest initiative.  Biggest problem I see is the vehicle only can carry 70% of the Marine infantry squad.  This is the same weakness of the Army’s Bradley.
