Storing Heavy Armor considered again for Eastern Europe

It’s recently been reported that the US is again considering the storing of approximately a brigade’s worth of armor in Eastern Europe.  It would basically consist of battalion sets of equipment in the countries of Lithuania, Estonia and Poland.  This is not new and was discussed in early December of last year as reported here on G&C.  It seems reviving old news is the administration’s latest ploy to deter Russia in Ukraine.
