Iranian op in Yemen frees diplomat

AP reported Iran has acknowledged conducting an operation in Yemen to free an Iranian diplomat held there by suspected AQ linked terrorists.  Public acknowledgement by Iran of operations is rare and this report includes little details unlike US announcements.  This event is on the heels of the Iranian linked Houthis overthrowing the standing government.  Iran’s senior advisor to Supreme Leader Ayatolah Ali Khamenei, Ali Akbar Velayati has warned against foreign governments interfering in Yemeni affairs.  This is after Tehran sent direct flights with medical supplies and aid workers on Sunday, one day after Houthi representatives signed an agreement with Iran to conduct over a dozen weekly flights.  Reuters reported in December training, military and financial aid to the Houthis by Iran for over a year.
